Project BIM: New E6 between Arnkvern and Moelv in Innlandet
Deliveries of 5000 tons of rebar to BIM project on the E6 between Arnkvern and Moelv

The last part of a new four-lane road between Kolomoen and Moelv in the Innlandet was officially opened on 26 October 2020, after the first half of the project opened during the summer of 2020. Norsk Stål has delivered 5,000 tonnes of rebar to the section between Arnkvern and Moelv, via BIM (building information modeling, aka digital construction models). The project includes the construction of a 24 km European road, in addition to the construction of approx. 40 structures and 300 meters of new T12.5 tunnel.

The new E6 from Arnkvern to Moelv was the first project Nye Veier set requirements for so-called BIM level 3 models, where, among other things, HSE and FDV are implemented in the digital model. Norsk Stål is a proud supplier of reinforcement via BIM to Veidekke on this stretch, and we are looking forward to possoble other collaborations in the future!
